Overheard: Wine and Water Edition

The family sat down to dinner. My kids were both drinking milk, but my husband and I opened a bottle of yellow tail Shiraz Grenache.

The two-year-old must have thought it looked tasty because he kept insisting:

Water, water. Have it, have it.

All the while doing the sign for milk.

Me: What would you like for dinner?

Her: An open-style jelly sandwich.

Me: What else would you like?

Her: Cottage cheese and yogurt.

Me: One or the other.

Her: Okay, the other.
