You heard it here first...

The sign at the empty Wendy's on North Prospect says:

OPENING FEB

Yippee! Not that we eat their burgers or chili. But my daughter will eat a baked potato and mandarin orange slices (I will, too.). And who doesn't love a frosty?

It's hard to get a baked potato in this town on the fly. I know, McAlister's has a Texas-sized potato. But you have to go inside and it's so big it's criminal (but that doesn't stop me from eating it!). I like that I can send my husband through Wendy's drive thru for a couple of potatoes when he leaves Menard's and it doesn't add half an hour to the trip.

(Of course when I saw the sign I told myself I was going to take a picture of it with my cell phone and by the time I left Michael's, I had totally forgotten.)

Also of note, there is a new Dunkin' Donuts on Prospect across from Long John Silver's. Not that I'm encouraging donut consumption, but they have excellent coffee!
