Yippee!

Several exciting things to report:

First, the Motherhood store is open at the mall now. Not that I'm going to go on a shopping spree this late in my pregnancy. But I do need one spring dress to get me through a few upcoming occasions. And it will be nice to buy nursing bras at a reasonable price.

Second, we are having huge success with potty training. She's peeing almost exclusively on the potty now. And, this is the biggie, last night I was neglecting her by balancing my checkbook in the next room while she played, and all on her own, she went to the potty, sat down, and pooped. We're going to the Kank this weekend for Easter, so we may still use a pull up in the car, but I think we're there! She's all about the treats. Coincidence or not, I have to recommend the reward that I have mentioned over and over.

Third, if you haven't tried McAlister's (new deli restaurant near Menard's), give it a try. The thing I miss about Wendy's is being able to get a baked potato. This new deli has HUGE baked potatoes (I think its actually 2 potatoes). And this is the kicker: they have real lemonade! And its HUGE (32 ounces)!! And they will give you refills!!! It's as if they saw I had a need and filled it (literally). What I also like is that they have lots of vegetarian options. Of course they have anything a meat lover might desire. It's similarly priced as Panera's but with a bit more variety and bigger portions. We ordered a baked potato with sour cream and chives, a kid's toasted cheese, a bowl of vegetarian chili, and a huge lemonade and the total was about $13.

Not being a mother myself, I can't comment intelligently on the first two items. But I agree about the deli! I'll have to try their lemonade. Thanks for the comment on CT about it...
